Thanks for drawing me into the Quotes. I have really been enjoying immersing myself in them. It seems to be an area I can make a contribution here.
Oh i really appreciate what you are doing there. Siona has been adding stuff too and i think that the quality of quotes influences other people to be more conscientious about using the feature. My heart used to sink when I'd see all those reworded chestnuts from Tugman , Monk Frost and Mr. Prophet.
My friend Kurt actually said that in a chat on FB. something about chat makes him churn out these incredibly pithy statements. I'm starting to keep text records of our conversations. but I'd have to ask his permission to attribute him.
(I put it up as Kurt Cobain for a lark, But then took it down.)
That's another cool feature of the quotes, - you can edit them etcetera. It makes it a more relaxed medium than posting a comment on the 'god pod' where i cant edit my own words after 15 minutes.
I love the quote area, especially the shorter ones (and especially, now, given the card function). Thank you both so much for contributing your own, too.
One thing that I haven't gotten in the habit of yet is commenting (or reflecting!) on quotes. Perhaps I should start. :)
You're right, I've been appreciating Siona's quotes a lot too. I'd seen the Kurt Cobain quote and wondered about that, it's nice to get the context :)
And I hadn't thought about that flexibility aspect of the quotes versus a post in the group. Excellent.
